Army Veteran Joins Better Homes and Gardens, The Hayhow Group

Leawood, Kansas (Oct. 3, 2016) — Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate announced today that U.S. Army veteran Greg Knobel has joined it’s Leawood-based team, The Hayhow Group. Knobel served 10 years in active duty, including four deployments overseas.

“We’re thrilled to have Greg on our team,” said Georgiane Hayhow, team leader of the Hayhow Group. “We can already see how some of the skills he inherited in the Army are translating to success in real estate. Right off the bat, I can sense how driven he is.”

Knobel says he decided to pursue real estate because he was looking for a challenge.

“Real estate is, after all, about the hunt for finding someone a forever home,” he said. “There’s also a need to communicate effectively, work hard, and put in long hours when necessary – all things I’m definitely used to.”

As for what brings Knobel to the Kansas City area, it’s simple. This is his home.

“I moved to Olathe in eighth grade,” said Knobel, a 2003 graduate of Olathe East High School. “My wife grew up across the street from me, so KC was an easy choice. Plus, there’s never been a better time to live here. It’s family-oriented, boasts an incredible cost of living, and offers the same amenities you’d get living in a larger city but without the scale of congestion.”

Following high school, Knobel enlisted in the U.S. Army. While deployed during his second tour in Iraq in 2008, he was selected for the prestigious Green to Gold program, allowing him to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Outside real estate, he can be found golfing, playing lacrosse, attending a local car show, and taking in all that Kansas City has to offer with his family.
